Why I am Running for Judge

I seek this position because I care about our Harris County community and criminal justice system. Unfortunately, many of our citizens do not realize the importance of the court system in our democracy. Indeed, our legislature is in session only once every two years but our courts are in session every day. On a day-to-day basis, the judiciary affects our lives just as much (if not more) as the executive and legislative branches of our government. Therefore, it is imperative that we elect judges who are not only competent but who also possess a judicious temperament, and the integrity, strength of character, and wisdom to interpret and apply our laws fairly. My background and diverse legal experience show that I fit all these criteria. I am committed to the ideals of fairness and justice for all, and I promise to bring those qualities to this bench.
